Housing Authority Branding

Client: The Madison Housing Authority of Madison, NJ

Scope: Brand Development, Brand Identity, Style Guide, Logo Mark and Variations, Identity System, One-Sheet, Branded Apparel and Swag items

The Madison Housing Authority came to Pfeifer Design, in need of a logo, because they were lacking one, and were using a dated illustration of their building on their letterhead and business cards, which didnโ€™t reproduce well, and didnโ€™t bring them joy. I designed a new brand identity for this affordable housing authority, which will ensure a consistent appearance across all their materials. I crafted a suite of logos to offer versatility for various applications and encouraged them to explore innovative ways to showcase their brand. We re-vamped their letterhead, internal forms, e-mail signatures, and business cards with their new look.

We also worked on their brand messaging, refining their mission statement to better represent their organization. I created a Brand Style Guide, which includes their brand messaging, to help others understand their authority and work effectively with their brand elements.

The MHA was in need of a one-sheet that would communicate their services, role in serving their community, and various partnerships. Without a website, they did not currently have a means for doing this. This on-brand sheet will be used as a handout at community events, and can be distributed as a digital pdf file to those making inquiries about the authority.

After gifting this enthusiastic and committed team with some mug swag of their own, they decided to order them for their entire organization, along with additional branded apparel, to show their pride in their organization and their new logo.

We are so pleased to be walk through the lobby each morning and see our beautiful logo. We have embraced this first ever professional branding for our organization. We see it everywhere, every day: when we send email, write letters, swap business cards, blast our our โ€œOne-pagerโ€, drink from MHA mugs, wear MHA half zip sweatshirts, interact with Board members wearing MHA sweatshirts, see the truck pass by with the new decal, etc. It has elevated our profile internally and externally. The branding process was so useful to MHAโ€™s senior staff. We know what we do (of course) but telling the larger story of why we matter in the community provides focus, connection and pride.
