It’s OK to re-evaluate

So you've gone down a path, developed your game plan, gotten assistance in developing your brand, or launching your project. And you change your mind. And your designer freaks. Ha- no really, your designer freaks. Because they have spent all that time with you, to analyze your business, research your place in the market, assess your vision and goals, and create a brand identity that represents your business in a recognizable, consistent way. And they love your curated brand, and so do you. And then you decide to become a hot dog stand instead of a blow out bar. Because it's what you've always wanted. So your designer is freaking. But so are you. You've put in all this time and energy and now you need to start over.

So you do this.

1. Sleep on it.

2. Send it out into the universe. Talk to someone else that is not as invested in your vision as you are. If you can clearly explain the what, why and how, you are taking the first step in reassuring yourself it's the right move.

3. Re-evaluate, re-invent, renew, revamp, pivot or start over - whatever you decide, do it with intention, and the assurance that it’s ok.

4. Tell your designer not to freak, and together, carry on. If they were the right fit the first time around, you can proceed with the assurance that your brand will be developed and cared for in the same way, in a new way. Getting assistance from a professional designer lets you focus on your business, while they focus on making your business shine. And they can help you talk out the difference between doubts that everyone has with their business, and when it is time to do step 3.

5. Pass me a hot dog, I’m in! 🌭
